Maine legislature backs Internet freedom

The Maine legislature, after a strong campaign led by allies Common Cause and others, just become the first legislature to take strong steps to ensure that neither telephone nor cable companies nor any other monopolists could hijack the free and open Internet, by passing a legislative "resolve" backing Internet freedom, or net neutrality (news story).
