Case of the recalled recall: Toad is no prince
Check out Annys Shin's story in today's Washington Post: Toymaker Rushed Gifts To Customers but Didn't Get the Lead Out. The replacement toys (CPSC recall announcement) for some recalled lead-laden toys turned out be full of lead also:
One of the gifts, a gray railway car with a white roof called the Toad vehicle, and four other Thomas & Friends toys were recalled Wednesday by RC2 of Oak Brook, Ill. The toys in both recalls were made by a Chinese subcontractor, Hansheng Wood Products.
